How geyser installation actually works

Positioning comes second. Roof-mounted cylinders are common in northern Johannesburg but concentrate risk directly above ceilings and electronics. Where structure allows, relocating to an external wall, garage or service area dramatically reduces the consequences of an eventual failure. Where relocation is not practical, a correctly sized and correctly plumbed drip tray is non-negotiable.

Solar geysers make sense where roof orientation and budget align.
